Given the nation’s stable economy and improvement of living standards, the automotive industry has undoubtedly become an indispensable element in our daily lives. New motor vehicles are on the increase every day and because of this, the odds on accidents and breakdowns are on the increase as well. Studies have indicated that the major cause of accidents and breakdowns is due to careless driving and poor vehicle condition.

In line with the above, MASA not only aids and assists its members during an emergency but also protects its members by minimising the risk of accidents and breakdowns by encouraging its members to send their vehicles for servicing at MASA appointed service centres. This is to ensure the roadworthiness of its members’ vehicles.

MASA’s team of competent emergency service assistance personnel will be on call 24 hours a day throughout the year tending to all its members’ motoring emergencies and needs anytime, anywhere. Members can be rest assured that MASA is their complete motoring companion.


History

MASA has been offering roadside assistance since 1999 and the business is growing and making up to 100% of the company’s turnover today. MASA boasts a membership of 800,000 members and the membership is growing with successful tie-ups with corporate clients. This was a result of maintaining a round-the-clock operations centre in Klang Valley and support from a nationwide network of 511 tow trucks and 250 PIAM appointed service providers throughout Malaysia. This service network set-up and dedicated 24 hours call centre service has enabled MASA to render professional and efficient service to customers. MASA also delivers extended services over and above those that are promised by the more traditional towing service companies.

These value-added services serve as MASA’s competitive edge and have been effective in earning the trust and business of a diverse group of companies, both local and international. The success of MASA can be attributed to its expertise in maintaining and operating a call centre that mediates and interfaces all interactions between the public and the Company.

MASA was incorporated on 7th July 1999 with a paid-up capital of RM 250,000.00 and authorised capital of RM 500,000.00. MASA’s principal directors are:
